I special summon blackrose dragon b4, and he is destroy. I activate COTH to revive Blackrose. And when blackrose hit the field, my opponent activate bottomless. Do i miss the timing since the last thing resolve is bottomless.

I special summon blackrose dragon, and opponent activate bottomless. Do i miss the timing since the last thing resolve is bottomless ?

If cannot, explain more clearly about miss the timing to me because i cannot understand - - i am a noob~

Miss timing for what?. You can only nuke when Black Rose Dragon is "Synchro" summoned.

Also if you SYNCHRO summon Black rose and Choose to destroy all cards. He can activate Bottomless. Black rose Dragon will be removed and the field gets destroyed.

^Just like what he said xD

If you're talking about the "flip and zero-ed the ATK" effect, you can call priority as usual Smile

    Miss timing of what>??
black rose effect is can only apply when its syncro summon, isnt it? so when its special summon by COTH, it cannot conduct its effect anymore....
But if you special summon black rose by syncro summon and your opponents activates his/her bottomless, so then it will become chain.... if you call priority, your blackrose effect is in chain 1, and bottomless is in chain 2.... Then because of bottomless in chain 2, so then your Black Rose will be go to RFG, and black rose effect activated then in chain 2, all cards will perish from both field....
Correct me if i wrong, iam sorry..... bounce

There's no Priority thing with Optional-Trigger effects Like "Black rose, Mobius etc." not sure of the name :/ But if you choose to activate it, it must resolve unless your opponent negate it

EDIT: and yeah if you're talking about the 2nd effect then you can activate it, Just call priority

the thing i get confuse is

When this card is Synchro Summon, you can destroy all cards on the field - Blackrose

we wont miss the timing like this ? even BOTH is activate ?

then why peten the dark clown will miss the timing, his effect almost the same

When this card is sent to your Graveyard, you can remove this card from the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Peten the Dark Clown" from your hand or Deck.

Note that this only applies to optional effect that are activated "When..." something happens. It does not apply to optional effect that are activated "If..." something happens (like "Watapon" or "Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem"), and it does not apply to optional effects are activated "After..." something happens (like "Voltanis the Adjudicator"). Effects like these can never miss the timing.

    @Yuri_Bakura

you cannot even use its effect to destroy all cards in the field if you Special Summon it from the Graveyard using COTH. It can only be used if it's Synchro Summoned. Synchro Summon is always Special Summon. But Special Summon is not always Synchro Summon.

@captain chrono, i chg the question already ...

@Sam, how do we classify Optional-Mandatory-Trigger effect ?

    and another new question ...

sam said : There's no Priority thing with Optional-Mandatory-Trigger Like "Black rose, Mobius etc."

captain chrono said : you can call priority to its effect which destroys all card on the field

which one is correct = ="?

First of all i will answer your first guestion.

Chain Link 1 : Synchro Summon of Blackrose Dragon
Chain Link 2 : Bottomless Trap Hole activation
    ------------------------Chain Resolves Backwards--------------------------
Chain Link 2 : Bottomless Trap Hole activates and removes BRD from play
Chain Link 1 : Blackrose's effect will activate destroying everything in the field

As you see the last action happening isn't Bottomless activation Razz, so you cannot miss the timing

Now Optional Trigger effects are the cards that have in their card lore
''When...(something happens, in BRD's case synchro summoned) you can.... (do something, in BRD's case destroy everything on the field)

Mandatory Trigger Effects like caius are effects that MUST activate and their card lore is like this
''When...(something happens, in caius case being tribute summoned) ... do something ( RFG a card )

As you see caius do not have a choice to activate his effect or not, so he is a mandatory trigger

    I hope i helped,
As for priority CC is right.

    Its like this.

If you Tribute summon Caius, and the Tribute was a Sangan, then Sangan will be chain link 1 and Caius chain link 2. Because Sangan's effect is mandatory.

If you tribute summon Caius, and the Tribute was Pinch Hopper, then you will not get pinch hoppers effect since the last thing to happen wasn't pinch hopper being sent to the grave, but the Tributed monster to be summoned, in this case Caius. Pinch Hopper being an optional effect therefore misses the timing.

O_O How can a card be mandatory and optional at the same time? The cards you said were optional trigger effects Razz , not mandatory
