Turbo Duel Academy (TDA) is all about making friends, dueling, and friendly competition.

    Dueling System and Hamachi
    KCVDS
TDA uses the Kaiba Corp Virtual Duel System (KCVDS). That system is the only system that is official for our tournaments, duel arenas, and any other sort of dueling event held in this website. If you don't have KCVDS a download link can be found by clicking here. Make sure to register, otherwise you can't use this system, and try to be active in their site. Without them this site wouldn't exist.
    Hamachi
Hamachi will allow you to host duels in KCVDS as well as keep yourself communicated with members of our forum. If you don't have Hamachi please follow the download link by clicking here. The version in the link is an old version, and it is recommended that you use this version as the newer versions have been known to cause problems for our members. Once you've downloaded and installed Hamachi make sure to join an academy network. These networks will allow you to communicate with registered members of TDA. The networks can be found in the top right hand side corner of the forum, but we will provide them below:

    tda 00 tda 01 tda 02 tda 03
    tda 04 tda 05 tda 06 tda 07
    tda 08 tda 09 tda 10 tda 11

All lower case, and leave the password field blank. Just click join.

    Registration
Before you can do anything in our site you must register. If you haven't already registered, it is very simple. First you scroll to the top of the forum and look for the register tab Starter Guide to TDA Register-2. Once you click there, you will be taken to a new page where you will be asked to come up with a Forum Name, and Provide your Hamachi network, hamachi network password, KCVDS name, and e-mail (please make sure to properly spell your e-mail so that you may receive notifications). After that, you will be asked to type a captcha, once you finish that your account will be activated and you will be free to post in our academy by logging in. You log in by clicking the flashing power button. Starter Guide to TDA Log1

    Editing Your Profile
Adding an avatar and signature gives life to your profile so it's always nice when our members have some sort of personality behind their words. In order to edit your profile click on the profile tab Starter Guide to TDA Profile-1 and you will be taken to the page where edits can be made.
    Preferences
These are preferences that will affect your forum experience, you should read them carefully and click yes or no to which ever preference suits you best. One common thing that people miss here is the option to "display your signature" by default No is checked so if you'd like your signature to show in your posts make sure to check Yes.
    Signature
Every member is allowed one signature, and user bar. A signature must be posted in html format, again it can't contain any improper images, and try to keep it 400x120 or less
    Avatar
Avatars can be uploaded directly from your PC to your forum by clicking this tab, most avatars are 200x150 so please have that in mind when uploading, again no improper images

    Introduce Yourself
We want to know about you, and first impressions are always important, so make sure to post an introduction by clicking here. There people will welcome you into our academy, and you will have gotten your first post.

    Getting Posts
We are looking for activity from our members, so we'd like for everyone to be active and post in topics where they feel they can give an answer, or just discuss things. Sometimes posts are required to enter tournaments and other events, so make sure to always posts. There are various ways to earn posts, the easiest is by going to the posting games section and post a reply to the game, it is fun and a good way to earn posts, you can get there by clicking here . You can also welcome new members into our academy every time someone posts an introduction. Going to people's dorm rooms and leaving them a message is also a good way to earn posts, lastly one easy way is to go in the off-topic section and disusing the various topics that are found there, you can even create your own topic and it doesn't have to be academy or yugioh related, people will reply to your posts and you can reply back, you can get there by clicking here

    Getting Into a Dorm
To get into a dorm you must first be tested, to find a tester you can go to their offices and join their individual hamachi networks, or you can click here for a complete post about the testing rules, and the hamachi network in which all our testers can be found. Once you have been tested a color will be given to you, and a bubble representing your dorm, you should go to the section of the forum that corresponds to your dorm and post a room, preferably something like "DanceJonDance's room" but you can be creative, just remember to include your name.

    Dueling in a Duel Arena
Here at TDA we offer three different arenas, the way you duel in these arenas are very simple. Each arena has a specific set of rules, so make sure to read those before dueling in one, the most commonly used arena is the regular arena. The way you duel in any arena is by first having an opponent who also has a rank(in a dorm) in this academy, you guys must then duel two out of three times. The winner then goes to the arena that was dueled in and posts a new topic with both your names for example "DanceJonDance vs. The Detonator" and posts the outcome (2-0 my favor or 2-1 my favor) the loser then simply replies by saying "confirm" any other stuff can be written but those two things MUST be posted in order for staff to update duel recross, and give speed credits.

    Getting Speed Credits (SC)
Speed credits are like a currency in our academy, you can use it to buy deck themes, custom titles, custom bubbles, duel runners, and sometimes will be required to participate in certain events. There are various ways to earn speed credits, the easiest way is winning in a duel arena. You can also earn SC by participating in Story mode, winning tournaments, and non-dueling events such as card of the week, write an effect, and many others.

    Getting Shadow Points (SP)
SP is kind of a more valued currency in TDA. You earn them in the same way you earn speed credits, but these can only be earned by dueling in the shadow realm. Each victory in the shadow realm will get you 1 SP, but each loss will send you to the shadow realm for a certain amount of time depending on your rank. When you're in the shadow realm your title changes to 'captured soul' and every time you duel while in the shadow realm you earn half SC of what you would normally earn.

    Story Mode
Story Mode is an innovative concept first thought up in TDA by our good friend Janembo. The concept of Story Mode is very simple. You sign up for a volume and complete the challenges the characters of Yugioh faced during the anime. You can complete the challenges with anyone in the academy, and the more challanges you complete the more difficult they will get, but the more difficult they are the more reward they will come with. You can sign up for the available volumes by clicking here here.

    Card of the Week
Card of the week is an event we try to run every week which basically allows you to nominate a card based on the week's theme. The best three nominations go up for a poll on the weekend and the winner gets his name and card posted in the front of the forum and they receive an SC prize. You can usually nominate by clicking the link under that week's card or you can also find the newest card of the week as well as other on going events by clicking here

    Rise of the Signers
A detailed introduction to our Rise of the Signers event can be found by clicking here

    Asking for Help
Staff is not only here to moderate the forum, but to help you! You are the most important part of our academy, and if you\'re not happy then we can't grow as an academy. Dorm Leaders are administrators of the forum, and moderators help us, and together we form the staff. PM any dorm leader or member with an orange name with any questions you may have about the forum, or reporting any problem. We are here to have fun, so now that you know how the academy works, go out there and have some fun.

The 2 posts that were above this were deleted because both are unnecesary... Lover, the answer is obviously found in the first message in this, explaining everything... Vem, thank you for pointing this out, but your post isn't needed either now that it's taken care of, so your's is deleted too Wink Jon, Det, if either of you wanna say something, go ahead and just replace mine lol

edit by djd: I had already deleted posts from some user here, and explained to them what needed to be done through PM. The user obviously just came here to spam like an idiot x]

Welcome back. I hope you enjoy with new TDA. Smile

You may know how we all open premium networks for something. We are using a trick there. In fact, only premium account users may open premium hamachi networks but non-premium users also open them with manual approve. While manual approve is active, everyone can join the network, since there are not people in as real. However some days ago LogMeIn Co. noticed this trick and they doesn't allow this anymore.

Then, I got a premium hamachi account. I tried twice to create our monthly premium networks with manual approve when I was non-premium, but they didnt work. Later I learnt what LogMeIn did, I tried this twice once without manual approve and once with manual approve. They also didn't work. I really do not know why this doesn't happen. But I know I won't stop 'till find a way. Smile I'm sorry bother you guys with private messages but it is so.

For your welcome back messages, please open a topic in Introduction forum.
