    More Blackwings to come?

Post by DanceJonDance on Thu Apr 29, 2010 6:16 am

    First topic message reminder :

I was watching the episode where crow summons Black-Winged dragon and he used some random Blackwings O.o I saw him use the bws that are coming out in this upcoming pack in may so does that mean some of these cards are coming out as well? x]

    Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak
    Level: Level 4
    Tuner/Effect
    ATK/DEF: 700/1500
This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster in the turn it is Summoned.

Blackwing - Etesian the second sword
    Types: Winged Beast/Effect
    Level: Level 3
    ATK/DEF: 400/1600

When a "Blackwing" monster you control attacks an opponent's monster, and that monster is not destroyed by battle, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the "Blackwing" monster that attacked.

Blackwing - Jet the Blue Sky
    Level: Level 1
    ATK/DEF: 0/800

When a face-up "Blackwing" monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can discard this card instead.

    Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite
    Level: Level 4
    ATK/DEF: 1600/1000
    Card Effect Type(s): Trigger/Ignition

    English:
You can return 1 card you control to the hand and take 400 damage to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card was Summoned this way, destroy it when a card is Set on the field.

Out of all these blackwings Zephyros shows the most promise. With the swarming abilities of blackwings it should be easy to return a bora, special summon zephyros special summon your bora again sac zephyros for sirocco and gain a 3700 atk piercing beat stick.

There are tons of ways you can abuse this with blackwings. Another combo I thought about would be using ultimate offering. You summon blizzard get back something like bora, activate zephyros pay 400 then bounce your blizzard, then pay 500 to summon another blizzard again bring back another bora or shura. Pay another 500 and summon sirocco and you can have an 8300 atk beat stick for an OTK x]

    Black-Feathered Guidance
    Normal Trap
    Super Rare

Activate only when you take damage from a battle or card effect. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Blackwing" monster from your hand or Deck.

    Too pro.

    Discuss.

Aurora is really useless imo. What I'd like to see is this guy

    Level 4 1900/300
If you control a "Blackwing" monster, you can Special Summon this card to your hand. This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards.

Agreed with vem, that card is too pro, but as things usually come by, KONAMI will change the effect to a crappy one like: If this card is Special Summoned, it can't be targeted by the effects of spell and trap cards.

    I swear that is coming.

    P.S: 900th post.

Guidance is useless for us. We generally don't use effect damage. Manga card is sucks. No one, even owner, don't like invincible cards.

How is guidance useless? It activates even to battle damage, not only effect damage Razz Like a Damage=Reptile only better Razz

    ^ what he said.

If gale was at three the card would be broken as hell. With some of the limitations bw tuners have the main target for guidance would be the single gale since:

    - Vayu can't be used to synchro on the field.
    - Blizzard can't be special summoned.
    - Breeze can only be used for blackwing synchros.
    - Kochi can't be used to tune if it is special summoned.

However this card could give mistral some serious play time since it's the second tuner without any restrictions. It's level two, and has a really nice defense with 1800. Its effect:

If this card on the field is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, reduce the Battle Damage you take from the next attack this turn to 0.

Could help you stop an otk easily. Your opponent pushes for game, you take damage, you activate guidance to summon mistral in defense your opponent destroys it and whatever monster attacks next will have its damage reduced to 0. Broken card is broken.

Blackwing - Jinn the Dry Wind

    Level 1 tuner:
While this card is face-up on the field, negate the effects of Spell and Trap Cards that target a face-up "Blackwing" monster and destroy them.

Still not 100% confirmed, but very likely. Pro card when you are making a big push.

You got a nice set up of monsters, you don't wanna get hit with a book of moon or a dimensional prison. You summon this guy, your opponent can't do anything you make your big push and at the end of the turn you can tune. Pro card is pro.

    O.o

    Reminds me of Aurkus.

Anyways, other than a really good effect it's also a level 1 tuner with no restrictions, has 600 attack, therefore searchable by BWW when you summon a Vayu.

Really nice card indeed. BUT, effect unconfirmed Sad
