AMV tournament

Welcome TDA!To first TDA AMV tournament!
I decided to host this tournament.Here are rulles.
Every one can join no metter what rank you are or do you have rank.
Every contesntent needs to post their video on youtube,and coment on it with same acc what he post video(so there whon't be stealing other people work)(contest doesn't metter it can be dota,yugioh anime etc.)but there should be editing otherwise I can't promes you will get good place.
Dead line is 3 weeks from now,It is enough time for you to get material and edit video.
There will be 2 judges 2D(uru red)and Flo(admin)
they will be judging contest of video,editing,quality and personaly how they like it.
You can use any programe for editing(Sony vegas,windows movie maker etc.)
And for recording I sugest you use fraps but its up to you also to decide.
Like I told any one is free to join and registrations are open now officaly.
Finaly:No riping other people work I will make sure he gets warning/ban and he will be automaticly removed from tournament.

Yeah it is.We are just w8ing now 4 judges to post their results.

Here are my winners... my youtube account died on me, (I don't remember my user name xD and too lazy to retrieve it) So I'll just post them here. And there are 4 prizes for 4 entrants ^_^

1. Flaker's video was certainly a step above the rest, he is in a league by himself. The way in which he synched the beats of the music with the intricate changing of frames of the video was very impressive. And even though I am a staunch anti-metal music fan I was able to follow the music and understand how it works with the piece. Also perhaps the most important aspect in which he was clearly a cut above was the clarity of the video. It felt as though there was a thread which the views are able to hang on and follow, this made his video easy to understand and relate with. Another giant plus for the video was consistency of the clips, it was not like there were parts of HD video and then suddenly a 800 by 600 contrast ratio clip. True overall the quality of the video isn't something to write home about, but none the less the consistency made the video much more realistic and again showed off the brilliance of the editor. A definite winner on different area codes with the rest of the contestants.


2. ven123 holds a promising second place. His video was simple and not laden with too many effects. However the biggest issue I have against this video is that it felt very superficial. There was no depth like Flaker's, thus it just felt like random clips strung together into a 4 minute video. There was no emotion behind the clips, though the transitions were good and the editing sound there was no life behind it. Another aspect I want to point out is that, what separates your video from flakers is that in his video it really felt as though he made the video his own, whereas for your video it was as though you just took clips off and put them together. I thought the name of the video was well chosen and fitted the theme very well. The story was relatively clear and easy to follow. The song choice was adequate.


3. Tyranno came in a well deserving third. His video was very fast paced which worked at times, however after about the first minute or so the endless onslaught of super fast forwarded video became monotonous and predictable. Though I can understand why you would use such an technique, it should be used sparingly. Personally due to the massive load of super speed clips it made your slowed down emphasized clips seem cheap and awkward. Also there was definitely a problem with consistency, some clips where in much better quality than others. I do understand that finding and clipping these footages is a chore and can be very tedious, but Flaker was able to do it.


4. Janembo rounds off this competition at 4th. His was different than the other three contestants in that it was a dota video. However I could be biased in this... but I have seen much better dota play than the ones in which you depicted in your video. Also because this was just a compilation of amazing dota moves there lacked cohesiveness within the video. It literally felt and to me "is" pieces of video strung together. Perhaps it was due to the limitations of windows movie maker but I thought there could have been much more done.

Well i have almost the same thoughts with MrFlodian and same is the ranking too, with

Flaker finishing 1st,

2nd vem123,
3rd Tyranno Hasselberry and
4th Janembo!!

Well now for Flaker i dont have many different things to say. It was the most perfect made video among the other three. Also the fact that there were no resolution changes during the video and the way u perfectly matched the view with the sound put yours apart from the others!!

Now for vem. Yea bro the first minute of your video had nothing to do with the other part of it. I got confused by it since i haven't seen 5D's. The music u chose was offered for some spectacular fights between Stardust and another creature. But there were also things i liked in your video such as the ending of it and the part when the solo guitar started!!

As for Tyranno, man i liked your video's scenes more than the scenes the other contestants picked. If there weren't for those really bad resolution changes during it which made me thing they were taken from a psp game and some super duper fast pieces of the video i would have been in more trouble deciding for the 1st place xD!!

And finally to Janembo. I was expecting too something more unbelievable and stunt from what u presented us. The moves were really pro play and i liked it much when magnus shocked riki to death but it didn't make me shudder or shout exclamations or something. Really good job though!!!
