Hello, TurboduelAcademy, Ruby here with the latest Yu - Gi - Oh ! Articles and DeckCrafting. Today I'll be introducing a yet to be discovered its full potential, a powerful bonded serie, and of course their newest support; as well as their strategy/deckbuild.
As the Topic may reffer, I am of course talking about The King of Skull Servants! He is the king of our humble servants, vamping their dead souls to empower himself. With a devastating number of Attack points, also the ability to survive any battle with a little loss of his own power, he truly deserves his own deck.
Alright, let's take a basic look at our precious card:
English: King of the Skull Servants
Chinese: 屍妖王
French: Roi des Crânes Serviteurs
German: König der Totenkopfdiener
Greek: Βασιλιάς των Υπηρετικών Κρανίων
Japanese (Kana): ワイトキング
Phonetic: Waitokingu
Translated: Wight King
Attribute: DARK
Types: Zombie/Effect
Level: Level 1
ATK/DEF: ?/0
Number: 36021814
Card Effect Type(s): Continuous/Trigger
Alright, have a quick look at it's stats. He is a Level 1 DARK Zombie with 0 defence; which can be boosted and supported in any ways. His effect indicates that he'll gain a maximum amount of 5000 ATK points, but we also have additional servants, so don't be demoralised . As a nice side effect, he can be revived by removing on of servants when killed by battle, giving you the opportunity to re-boost him on your turn and seek revenge.
As a Dark monster, he can benefith nice supports, such as Allure of Darkness, Dark Illision, or Escape from the Dark Dimension to name a few. But what really makes us interested is being a zombie. As a zombie, he can be easly recruited by Pyramid, and revived by either Book Of Life or Zombie Master. He can also be added to your hand via Goblin Zombie.
Being a level one also affects our deck a little bit. It lets the usage of 2 key spells, Opti-Camofulague Armor and One for One. One for One is an awsome recruiter that lets you summon the King from your deck, even without having you wasted a normal summon! You can also discard a coppy of skull servant stuck in your hand with it.
Opti-Camufulauge is another key spell. It lets KoSS attack you opponent directly, and usually it takes 1/2 hits to kill him directly. You might choose between saving it for the last moment or using it to inflict small punches, it's up to you.
Well, remember I said there were more servants? Here is another, and this lady is pretty serious.
English: The Lady in Wight
Chinese: 屍妖夫人
French: Veuve du Crâne Serviteur
German: Die Herrin der Wichte
Greek: Η Κυρία Στοιχειό
Italian: La Signora Spettrale
Korean: 저주받은하인부인
Spanish: La Señora Espectro
Japanese (Kanji): ワイト夫人
Japanese (Kana): ワイトふじん
Phonetic: Waito Fujin
Translated: Madame Wight
Attribute: DARK
Types: Zombie/Effect
Level: Level 3
ATK/DEF: 0/2200
Number: 40991587
Card Effect Type(s): Continuous
Well, Lady is an extreme support for the King. Whilst she makes him battle-immune, she also nullifies the effects of Spells and Traps casted on him, or any other zombie. This effect really contributes to the OTK, eliminating all possible threads and defences. She also has a whoping 2200 Defence, which is pretty hard to run over in our current and upcoming meta. Even though she cant get recruited unlike king, she can still be revived. Also note that she cannot start loop even though you control 2 ladies, but that's okay, doesn't hurt the deck.
Well, our humble servants doesn't end. We have one more, and this one is pretty interesting, and he also adds the deck a new perspective
English: Wightmare
Greek: Ανθρώπινο Όν Εφιάλτης
Thai: คุณนายไวท์
Japanese (Kana): ワイトメア
Phonetic: Waitomea
Attribute: DARK
Types: Zombie/Effect
Level: Level 1
ATK/DEF: 300/200
Number: 22339232
Card Effect Type(s): Continuous/Ignition
As you can see, this card is 2 things. Either a 2000 ATK boost for the already present king, or he can summon one from RFG, also giving another 1000 ATK boost. His second effect is more important, however, the first has beneficial uses too. Being able to control your RFG let's you play interesting techs, that I'll show a bit later. You can remove another king when one of them dies, then use this one and have a double attacked double kings on the field.
Well, he is not a servant but adds the deck a bit taste, so I'll introduce him too.
English: Shutendoji
Arabic: شوتندوجي
Chinese: 酒吞童子
French: Démon Shutendoji
German: Shutendoji
Italian: Shutendoji
Portuguese: Shutendoji
Spanish: Shutendoji
Japanese (Kanji): 酒呑童子
Japanese (Kana): しゅてんどうじ
Phonetic: Shutendōji
Attribute: EARTH
Types: Zombie/Effect
Level: Level 4
ATK/DEF: 1500/800
Number: 65422840
Card Effect Type(s): Ignition
Combined with Wightmare, this card provides a nice engine to the deck. Nothing much to explain, plain draw power+ a unique techinque to summon King, or if needed, Lady. His second effect can also let you re-use cards like mezuki or plague spreader zombie.
Oh and, one more thing. If you can manage to summon this fella, which is totally an ace-case in this deck, you'll pretty much win the game.
English: Archfiend Zombie-Skull
Arabic: عملاق الشّرّ الميت
German: Erzunterweltler Zombieschädel
Greek: Αρχιδαιμόνιο Ζόμπι Κρανίο
Italian: Arcidemone Teschio Zombie
Portuguese: Archdemônio Caveira-Zumbi
Japanese (Kana): アンデット・スカル・デーモン
Phonetic: Andetto Sukaru Dēmon
Translated: Undead Skull Demon
Attribute: DARK
Types: Zombie/Synchro/Effect
Level: Level 6
ATK/DEF: 2500/1200
Number: 59969392
Card Effect Type(s): Continuous
Well, the summoning restriction is pretty though indeed, but is nothing hard. you'll need either 1+3 or 1+1+1+1, which I really dont recomend. You can use Spirit Reaper or Lady as the level 3, and one of other servants as level 1 ;=
His effect simply makes your King immortal, and he himself has a nice 2500 atk, which is pretty hard to get over without destruction.
Well then, here are the important monsters for the deck, and now for the decklist.
