New Draw Engines Empty New Draw Engines

Post by OptimusYale Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:15 am

Ok well the new banlist is rapidly approaching and its nice to see people cowering in fear of the banhammer! With cards like D-draw and Allure going, as well as Charge of the light brigade we'll see more creative engines.

So here's a topic for TDA members to be prepped and ready to kick ass when it comes to the new format. Post new Engine idea's here Smile

My one is for my aliens. I can turn it into a turbo draw deck with a few cards. Running Pot of Avarice with Snake Rain works well, instant dump of 4 reptiles into the grave, then with pot moving them back to draw 2 cards from deck. That mixed with cards like Ammonite and call of the haunted works well for me. Mix that with reckless greed (personally do not like this card)and have a semi effective speed engine.

My one shock is that Konami didn't even try to give us some speed back. Would have been nice to have Graceful charity back at 1 to help with the transition of slowing the game down! Why is it banned anyway?

Just imagine a Graceful Charity in a zombie or ls deck :PP
hmm i think theres still enough speed.

    Macro Cosmos
    Kuraz the light Monarch
    D.D.R.

Revive Kuraz with D.D.R. Destroy D.D.R and Kuraz and draw 2 new cards :PP

Milling Frogs with Substitoad in one turn for PoA fodder seams to works pretty well.

Salvage for WATER decks has a PoG effect to it.

I belive were gonna see more Hand destruction in most meta decks to allow rapid milling and hand advantage.

You can always use Super rejuvenation for those dragon decks. Not hopeless dragon anyway.

I think a draw engine that has a lot of potential right now is the Neo Spacian engine. It could be implemented into almost any deck by a good deck builder and used well by a good duelist. I am testing it out myself right now.

Actually not every deck needs a draw engine, a search engine would do just as well/

Search engines aren't as efficient though because they require a cost and u would usually get the card you want at a later time while draw engines supply you with cards right away.

In that scene, by searching you pick the card you want, if the is built right, then you pick the card you need.

Although most search engines require a trigger, and most of the time is by being sent to the grave, it's still a good source of hand advantage, if your running a deck with low draw power.

The most consistant draw engine I have is the one in my hopeless build. With 3 Hand D's, 3 Trade ins, 1 Allure. Sure the -1s hurt... but most of the time I dump monsters that needed to be dumped, so its all good ^_^

I'm not a fan of Draw Engine that needs specific card to activate...

Anyway, how about using The Beginning of The End?

Veil of Darkness/Dark Grepher/Magical Merchant + The Beginning of The End

Although, this just works for DARK deck...

It is just some random idea though Wink

Assault mode decks have decent draw power right now and it can be implented into most decks that use synchros and it doesn't have to be straight up assault mode deck either. It can work in kitty decks, flamvel, and most other synchros.
