Shock Card: Tuner's Scheme Empty Shock Card: Tuner's Scheme

Post by CaptainChrno Mon May 03, 2010 10:59 am

You are currently facing a format where you will face many Synchro-monsters. From the recently SJC winner, Quickdandy Warriors, to the rogue deck, Assault Deck. Even the anticipated meta deck Cat Synchro and the reigning Blackwing use Synchro to give an edge. Many cards can counter them and here, I present to you a good side-material for fighting toe-on-toe against this very kind of deck, Tuner's Scheme!

    Shock Card: Tuner's Scheme Abpfen077

    Tuner's Scheme
    Continous Trap Card
Activate only when a Synchro Monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field. Take control of that Synchro Monster. Remove it from play when it is destroyed. Destroy this card when that monster is removed from the field.

Not only you are able to remove their Synchro monster, but you also take control of it! This means you force your opponent into a -1 or more and give you an opportunity to be aggressive next turn! This card can do wonder against synchro-abusing deck Twisted Evil

The downside of this card is simple, this card must stay on the field or else... it's fruitless. When this card is destroyed, the synchro monster gets back to your opponent field and that's no good. You can prevent this by using the very-useful Book of Moon. Just like Call of the Haunted, you can flip the monster affected by this card into face-down and it will lose the link with Tuner's Scheme (Both of them are still on ur field, don't worry Wink )

    In short,
    Pros:
    - You get a synchro monster essentially for free
    - Your opponent loses monster to you (almost) permanently
    - This card pwns monster summoned by Vayu
    Cons:
    - If this card is removed from the field, the brainwashing ended

Any comment, hint, strategies, and discussions are welcome Razz

I would run this, but I think oppression is better to a certain extent. I guess oppression can mess you up too and that's a pro of scheme, but oppression will work on any special summon--not just synchros--which is far better in my opinion.

wow, I thought many players forgot this card xD Anyway, I do agree that Royal Oppression is more advantageous in many areas than this card but if you combine Royal Oppression and this card, you can disrupt completely many synchro-based deck like Cat Synchro Razz Especially in a deck where you main 2 Oppression. It doesn't hurt to have Tuner's Scheme in side deck to easily disrupt opponent's play Smile

better than oppression.ok, we can negate all special summons with oppression, but dont forget, all decks have 15 synchro monsters in extra decks, whatever kind of deck.i mean no difference u use a deck or your oppenents', it a common card !!

isnt this card in kcvds now, is it ? xD

Not taking away from it Razz It's a damn good card especially if you yourself run cat, and face another cat or quickdraw. Oppression would screw you over big time, but this card would be like ownage Very Happy I actually wanted one for my real life deck, but no luck finding x[ someone trade? =D?
