priority and rulling situation Empty priority and rulling situation

    so here is the situation:

Player 1: 1 "Book of Moon" face down on field.
Player 2: 1 "Mirror Force" face down on field and 1 Normal Monster card face-up.

Player 2 turn: Player 2 tribute his Normal Monster for the Tribute Summon of Granmarg the Rock Monarch..then Player 1 chain "GTRM" summon with "Book of Moon". "Granmarg" switch to face-down and his effect disappear...

now I want to know if that is wrong or not...and If not, what CAN be done here, in this situation...thanks is advance

Since Granmarg targets, you will have to choose a face-down card on the field to destroy, at the time the effect activates.

Granmarg is Chain Link 1, so you target his Book of Moon (obviosly), then your opponent chains that card (Chain Link 2) and places Granmarg face-down.
At this point the effect of Granmarg disappears, because the target is no longer eligible for destruction so the 1st chain link doesn't resolve.

If you would have chosen Mirror Force, the effect would have still gone through, but no one would do that i'm sure.

When the monarch is summoned u must select a target for the eff. And after BoM is chained to him his eff will still resolve even if it is face-down, but it will resolve on the selected card so you can't change the target. If the target was his face-down BoM and he chained it then nothing will happen since BoM will be gone.

so if he targeted his own face down card when he summoned to the field, the effect would be resolved even after he turned face-down by Book of Moon??

Think of it like this. Grenmarg does destroy the card it targets, but unfortunately for Grenmarg the destroyed card was able to activate as chain link 2 while it was destroyed meaning that Grenmarg's effect does resolve in a way.

I understand it, but my question (my other one) is if Grenmarg target the other face-down ("mirror force") and "Book of moon" turned "Granmarg" face-down in a chain to his effect... that face-down ("mirror force") that "Grenmarg" targeted, destroyed or not??

Yes his effect will still activate, he doesn't necessarily have to be on the field in order for its effect to resolve.
